On-property Activities at Parker Palm Springs
“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.”
— Mae West
Life well lived is about the right moment, the right people, and the right location. Our on-property activities are designed to be savored, a reminder that life is sweet, if you live La Dolce Vita.
Our 13-acre estate is home to a range of activities that make time at our 5-star hotel in Palm Springs distinct and memorable. So, play your heart out. Our staff is always available to provide copies of the official rules, moderate disputes, and offer liquid inspiration.
Four Terre Battu courts, the epitome of tennis elegance, await your backhand.
Beneath soaring palms, framed by desert hills, the setting evokes the clay court champions of yore. No matter your style of play – polite or savage, tennis whites or neon brights – your game will find inspiration here.
Post-match, after a well-deserved handshake at the net, recount the winning point with a refreshing libation at our outdoor Lemonade Stand. Enjoy a timeless moment for a timeless game.
The south of France has introduced the world to many delights: the food of Provence, the red carpet at Cannes, and this exemplar boules game.
Nestled within the gardens of our property, the pétanque courts offer a uniquely Mediterranean-style afternoon with friends, both old and new.
A straw hat to protect from the sun and a glass of Pastis in hand, the game can now begin. Whether or not you keep score is up to you. Either way, we are nearby to refresh your beverage when needed.
Like all classic games of form and style, croquet has its own special set of requirements: a freshly cut and neatly trimmed lawn, wickets precisely laid out, and an expertly blended Pimm’s Cup.
Our croquet ground is one of many hidden gems on our property. Guests have been known to spend hours enjoying the game that has been played on the lawns of Oxford and Eton for centuries.
Here, it’s done in Parker Palm Springs style.
Bobby Fischer said, “All that matters on the chessboard is good moves.” At Parker Palm Springs, our giant chess board is always set and ready for Mr. Fischer’s words to be put into action. The board is perfectly situated for viewing and is a favored spot to relax, strike up a conversation and enjoy the attempts at détente unfolding on the board.
Speaking of good moves, “our table tennis is the most competitive game on the property,” smiles Charleen Senior, Lemonade Stand Manager. Set inside a large sandbox, it’s also one of our most popular. A surprisingly entertaining spectator sport too, it is easy to understand how the game has created many a friendship.
The activities on our property provide a wealth of options for memory making moments. And our boutique hotel in Palm Springs offers endless opportunities to test your skills, while staying appropriately hydrated.
